Alice is an absolute institution in Christchurch. Their central city video rental store was a cultural hotspot for decades. Now, as the mediascape has changed, Alice has pivoted into an online DVD library and cinema.
Hit Squad designed and built Alice’s DVD library website, where thousands of movies – including some very rare titles – can be browsed and ordered online. Beyond the technical complexity of the build, the key to the success of the site was capturing the unmistakable brand ‘vibe’ that Alice has established over so many years.
The final site is a spectacle of hot pink neon coolness. It’s well worth a look if you want to be inspired by beyond-the-bland web design.
